Rebecca A. Grant

Teach us to delight in simple things.

 -Rudyard Kipling

Rebecca A. Grant is a ceramic artist.  She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in December of 2010.  She enjoys creating two distinctly different bodies of work.  Her sculptural pieces include both narrative wall tiles and figurative sculptures made with earthenware, while her functional work focuses on everyday porcelain pottery finished with carved imagery using the sgraffito method.  She has shown her work in both national and international venues. Numerous pieces of her functional pottery and sculptural work now reside in private collections.  She works primarily at her home studio in Alton, Illinois, where she lives with her husband and two very spoiled dogs.
